I'm not sure if this is just me, but when I boot SmartDeploy via USB on my zbook G7 and G8, my trackpad doesn't work. I have to use a mouse to navigate through SD. It was not the case while we were using EliteBook 850s. My ppks are current. Did I miss a step?

What I noticed is, when I use SmartDeploy to join a machine to the domain, it automatically enable bitlocker without any record of the key. It doesn't register the key to our Azure server or Active Directory. But if I manually join the machine to the domain after finishing the imaging, it registers the keys to our Azure server. I like SmartDeploy to joing the machine to the domain, so I disable the TPM in Bios. Maybe you guys know a way to keep the TPM on and get a bitlocker key while joining the machine to the domain via SmartDeploy? Thanks for your time.

I'm having the same issue... But after imaging with a stick, my server couldn't remote deploy the image to the client anymore. It can report heartbeat though.

I tried to open all PPks and deleted the ones that I couldn't open ("Unable to open PlatformPack. The Platform Pack may be corrupt.").

I tried to download them again... see below:

- HP ElitePro 600-800-G4 WIndows 10 64 - not in the list anymore

- HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Windows 10 64 - worked after deleting and re-download

- HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Windows 10 64 - worked after deleting and re-download

- HP EliteBook x3601030G3 - Deleted, redownlowded, but still corrupted

- SurfacePro6 - Deleted, redownlowded, but still corrupted

All of a sudden most/all my PPKs are corrupted. Is there an update?

What I did...  I switched the “Sure Start Security Event Policy” to “Log Event Only” in BIOS Sure Start under the Security tab. It was defaulted to Log event and notify user. This will stop prompting you about a Firmware change... blablabla.

#SDE00010030 - HP Sure Recovery after first boot (LogFile Attached)

Good Morning,

We get a HP Sure Recovery message first boot after a successful image. This has been happening, I just got used to using the workaround, which is ESC in HP Sure Recovery window, F2 in "BootDevice Not Found" window and Exit in "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI" Window. After that, Windows will load normally.

Is there anyway not to see that HP Sure Recovery window?

We have TPM turned off and Legacy enabled.

Can I install the client post-image?

Yes, copy and paste the ppks from your ppk folder or from the Z folder of a previous imaging stick. 

Another way is to create a new Reference Machine. Most likely you're creating an image from an updated reference machine. I hope that helps.

I'm currently using a fresh 1803 and pause the update. I also have a reference machine with 1809 that I'm holding on to.

Any update on a SmartDeploy update for 1809? Is there an ETA? Thank you...

So far I tried the Windows 10 1809 update image to an HP 800 G3 and the sysprep failed (A fatal error occurred while trying to sysprep the machine). Anybody else successfully tried the Windows 10 1809 October update?

Somehow the HP PPks I get from SmartDeploy console is not complete or up to date. EverytimeI finish an image, I still have to run the HP Softpaq. I also notice that not all devices in Device manager are up to date. I always had to update them manually... Is there a way to get an updated PPK?
