  1. Hi.

    If you are using an unatended file you can delete the domain name used to join the domain and then it will ask you to enter the domain name in the same section as the part where you define the computer name, so you can enter it each time.

     <network_identification skip="0">
          <computer_name />
          <!-- 0 = Domain, 1 = Workgroup -->
          <membership>0</membership>
          <domain>REMOVE WHAT IS HERE</domain>
          <domain_options>
            <option></option>
          </domain_options>

  2. Hi,

    Having issues deploying this as a fresh install on machines, it hangs on "Getting Ready"

    So far I have been waiting 12 hours for it to install on 3 machines.

    Created using 2.0.2097

    Deploying from an external hard drive using the most up to date driver packs for the units. If I deploy an earlier version it works just fine.

    Thanks

  3. Hi,

    Sorry to jump on this thread but I didn't see the need to start a new one as my issue is with a T460s driver pack.

    I have deployed the T460s Windows 7 x64 driver pack with my image and its blue screening. I tried it with the windows 10 x64 pack and that worked fine so i presume its an issue with the platform pack.

    I cant get access to the hard drive so getting the log will be difficult (unless you have a way to export it to another share/external drive as part of the image process?)

    Would appreciate if you could take a look at the pack and see if there is something not working in there. I have updated to the newest version of the pack and the newest version of smart deploy, version 2.0.2000

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

    I moved machines and copied my virtual machines over to the new one. I am now getting the following error when I try and capture the image.

    Unable_to_Capture.png

    I have looked at this Blog Entry but it hasn't helped as the path is well under the max characters (its the same path as where it was before on my old machine, has no snapshots and deleting the SmartVDKSrv didn't help.

    Here is where the VM is located: C:\Temp\_Smart Deploy\VMs\Windows 7 x64\Windows 7 x64.vmdk

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks.

    Paul

  5. Hi,

    I have deployed my image VIA SmartDeploy around 60 times with no failures at all but I have come to deploy it to a HP EliteBook 2540p and HP EliteBook 8440p and both of these models bluescreen on shutdown or restart.

    I have done some research on the error message and number that was given, which is 0x0000009F DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, and Microsoft suggests that it is a failure with a driver.

    Have you come across this before? I would rather not have to create the Platform Packs again from scratch so if anyone has a work around that would be very helpful.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  6. Hi Erik,

    I've just burnt it to a standard 4.7GB DVD fine.

    The platform pack in using is for the Lenovo x220 laptop and is 227MB so it should all be under 5GB.

    I also extracted the ISO that was created and copied it over to the USB drive and it was fine - it just wont let me do it from within the app itself.

    It's no biggy, just thought I'd point it out.

    thanks for your response.

    Paul
