  2. Strange Issue. We had a lenovo M800 tiny that had its motherboard replaced due to failure. Now when trying to reimage it, SmartDeploy doesn't know what this system is. During imaging, the model reads "Lenovo Product" and not the actual model of the system. Is there somewhere I can tell SD what the computer is? Maybe it is in the BIOS somewhere. I will check. If not, what is my best course of action? thanks!
  3. Hi. When deploying the newer Lenovo T460S on a dock with multiple displays, we get inconsistent flickering of the drop downs and buttons in the display driver when trying to select items such as Display (1 or 2 or 3), Resolution, Identity etc. We have tinkered with Lenovo driver downloads and have been able to solve the problem but don't know how to if possible, repair the driver pack. Or is that done at your level? thanks, Steve
  4. Hello, I'm trying to deploy the platform on a Lenovo Thinkpad T430s. When the deployment reaches the specialize phase, I'm getting the following error: Windows could not parse or process the unattend answer file for pass [specialize]. The settings specified in the answer file cannot be applied. The error was detected while processing settings for component [Microsoft-Windows-Deployment]. As the same platform is working smoothly on a Lenovo Thinkpad T440s, I discarded since the beginning that it could be an error on my scripts. After checking the unattended.xml file at %SystemRoot%\Panther, I've found that my specialize script is being called from drive letter D: <RunSynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Path>D:\z\Specialize.cmd</Path> <Order>1</Order> </RunSynchronousCommand> I have opened a cmd window when I got the error and the USB flash drive was on drive letter E:. Then I have restarted the computer, booting again from the USB flash drive, opened a CMD window on the SmartDeploy Welcome screen and (surprise!) this time the USB flash drive was on drive letter D:. I've checked the DVD drive to discard a problem with WinPE drivers and it is working correctly on drive letter E: So it looks that the problem is that the drive letters of the USB flash drive DVD drive are being swapped: at the first WinPE boot from the USB flash drive, the flash drive gets letter D: and the DVD drive gets letter E:, so when the unattend.xml file is generated it points to letter D: But, after one of the reboots, the flash drive gets letter E: and the DVD drive gets letter D: On the Lenovo Thinkpad T430s the workaround is to extract the optical drive while the computer is being imaged. Thank god there's no need to enter BIOS to disable the optical drive, as our platform is being designed to be launched by an end user in case of need... But this is just a temporary workaround. So, the question is: how can this be fixed? Maybe there is a way to change the drive letter on startup, or maybe there is a setting in the Platform Pack, or maybe some hacking in the unattend.xml file ... I don't know. :-( Thanks a lot in advance for your kind help. -- Javier Llorente
  5. I am trying to deploy an image to a Lenovo T520. I have the latest client (1.1.5010) and I downloaded the latest .PPK for it (Dated 7/8/15). The deployment process kicks off just fine. The client recognizes the model of the laptop and deploys the image to the machine (using Windows Deployment Services). It gets through the image deployment, and gets through the Windows 7 Setup (x64) screens but when it gets to the very first time the desktop comes alive, the automatic login to the network that kicks off a post_install script fails because NONE of the drivers have been installed for Windows (No Chipset, No Video, No Network, etc....). I use this same process for several other Lenovo models.... S20, S30, W530, W540, W541, W700, W701, M91P, T500, P700.... ALL WORK GREAT. Has anyone imaged this model and had this issue?
  6. Hi, I'm deploying Windows 8.1 (32 bit) on a Lenovo T60 with 3Gb of RAM and 50Gb SSD. On reboot the sysprep windows appears and then a pop-up window with the error "A fatal error occurred while tying to sysprep the machine". The machine is a bit under powered but should be able to run Win 8.1 for testing. Any help or pointers would be appreciated. Michael.
  7. Support, I'm a current customer with valid support and would like a platform pack for the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (current revision). They've significantly changed hardware and the current platform pack on your site leaves quite a bit of work for the tech staff and I've not quite been able to get all the drivers to apply correctly upon my own attempts.
  8. Having a problem deploying an image from bootable media onto a Lenovo Thinkstation S30. I created offline bootable media with the Media Wizard and changed the boot settings but the USB drive won't show up as an option when I press F12. Secure Boot is disabled but I can't change UFEI or CSM. BIOS version is A2KT36AUS 01/09/2014. The computer came with Windows 8 pre-installed. I'm trying to deploy a Windows 7 image onto it. Does anyone have recommendations?
