Hi, I've created a custom application package and configured the file and task to install a .msi of OpenVPN. I can see the computer in the SmartDeploy console and I can select the device and choose to deploy the application package I created. I selected the box to allow the user to delay the install so I could verify the host machine and other asset are communicating and verified they are communicating. Then I look back in the SmartDeploy console installed on the host and can see the icon on the far left has updated indicating the app is being pushed. The app is never actually installed. Attached are images of my .msi configuration but I'm not sure what I need to change.
Hi All, I am testing out SD, I am trying out some in house packages and some of the pre-made ones by SD, I tested with open office by SD it install and worked fine (Happy days) I made my own from software we have that does a silent install during the OS build process and it just sits there deploying. when i check the logs i get the following "The open operation did not complete within the allotted timeout of 00:00:00. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.,Open timed out after 00:00:00 while establishing a transport session to net.tcp://172.x.x.x:8733/Design_Time_Addresses/SmartDeploy.ClientServiceWCF/Message/. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout." I have retested with with SD 7-Zip and it too now just sits there with the same error msg. What am i missing ? Thanks.
I created a custom application pack to install and license MS Office 365 C2R. It deploys and runs successfully from the SmartDeploy console to existing client computers. But when I add it to an answer file to run during an OS deployment, it does not install. The application pack does copy to the client computer, but doesn't install. Has anyone run in to anything similar? thanks
Trying to install the Zoom video conferencing client (see attached image) It tells me there is a deployment error but no real information. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting this? it's a simple .exe which I put in the app pack itself, no switches. It looks like the files get transferred, but it doesn't seem to know what to do with them. I've included the configuration screens as well.
