We have upgraded our Smart Deploy Console and migrated all of our images and reference machines etc...We have re-imaged a machine from the new console and it works great. Now we have to make the existing PC's with clients reporting to our old console start reporting to the new console. We have tried simply generating the client from the new console and manually installing it but it does not seem to work. The PC still shows up in computer management on the old smart deploy console but not on the new smart deploy console. What can we do to redirect our existing clients to the new console? Hello all, a quick question. We have everything up and running, this is just wishful thinking. Is there any way to remotely launch the smart deploy console (vs being on the physical server). IE a web interface or remote console that can be installed on a workstation? My logic is this... I have helpdesk staff that should be able to use the smart deploy console, however do not need to be on the WDS server. I'm trying to simplify their workflow to deploying images. A permission level that allows only for image deployment, group creation, etc would be extremely helpful. If the feature doesn't exist, is there a road map for it? Appreciated. -Mike
Hello, Is there a way to target specific computers from the SmartDeploy Enterprise console in order to issue commands or execute a script? For Example: I need to restart all the computers (300) in a lab. I have all the computers in a group listed in "Computer Management" of the SmartDeploy Enterprise console. Can I issue a command directly on this group? Can I run a script directly on this group? Thanks!
