Smartdeploy Error after Sysprep - Win10Enterprise 1909

Hello all,

I'm currently experiencing an issue with the final stage of deployment after SysPrep is ran. I'm greeted with the attached error message. I am able to bypass this by making the following regedit on the machine - \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\ChildCompletion -> Change value to "3"

Has anyone dealt with this issue before? We'll be deploying images very often, so I'd like to avoid having our techs do extra work with each deployment. I've configured SmartDeploy for my previous company as well, but I never ran into this particular issue.

 

I'm utilizing VirtualBox to create the VM image and I made sure to shut down properly. We're using Windows 10 Enterprise, build 1909. Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated!

 

So far this issue has occurred on the following Dell machines: OptiPlex 7040, OptiPlex 7050, and Precision 3620.

Hi Kim,

Restart the 3070 back from your SmartDeploy boot media to enter the SmartDeploy boot environment and click Collect Logs and save the resulting zip and submit a ticket here and we can take a look.
