Latitude E7470 issue

Hello all,

We recently transitioned from Dell 7450's to Dell 7470's.
The trouble is-  Smartdeploy PE environment does not load a proper network driver for this particular laptop (no ip and no loaded driver). Is there a way to properly add a new network driver to this PE environment so that i can boot a 7470?

Hello,

Ensure you created your boot media via the Media Wizard with the 7470 platform pack. Also, be sure you're running the latest version of SmartDeploy which you can download here.

If you still have issues, refer to this thread and send your C:\SmartDeploy\Logs\Media.log to support @ smartdeploy.com

Thanks,

Hello,

The boot media i am building is for an image and platform pack on the network.  Its the actual deployment menu that does not have network access, not the image (i'm assuming if i made an offline boot disk it would work but this would break the way we do images).

Hello all.

Mine is finally pulling an IP after rebuilding the deployment media with the new driver package added- will report back if the image fails for some reason. Hopefully this will work for you as well kskennedy good luck.

..had no idea that the smart deploy environment also uses the driver packages to load drivers..good to know
