esardinha
Hello All, I've been successfully deploying images with windows 7 using smartdeploy for some time now but I've been capturing images with oracle virtual box, I've moved onto vmware esxi. How can I capture a vmware vmdk? I don't see a way to capture the machine located on the datastores. Thanks
SmartDeploySupport
Hello, In order to capture a VMware in a Esxi environment you can either download the .vmdk from the datastore locally and capture that or you can boot that VM to SmartDeploy and capture it that way. If you do it that way, with the VM powered on, then you’ll have to save it across the network. This is documented in the User Guide on page 10. Thanks, SmartDeploy Support
